Located at The Shoppes at Marville Site
Route 3 in Newtown Square

Designed by architect George Matuszewski, the memorial will measure 21 feet high by 14 feet deep by 22 feet wide when complete. It will be surrounded by eight flagpoles, with the sculpted eagle as the centerpiece and the names of more than 500 Newtown Veterans will be etched into the concrete panels.

The Veterans Memorial is a tremendous element that makes the Shoppes at Marville special. "The veterans were looking for a high visibility, high traffic location," says Claude de Botton, visionary behind the Shoppes at Marville. "They asked me if I was willing to work with them on it, and I was very touched, proud and honored to be able to do something for those who have done so much for our country."

Another unique aspect of the memorial is that it will be built with small holes next to the names of the veterans for family members to leave notes or mementos at the memorial.
